I’m not sure what you are asking…My source is football aptitude. Right now over the last 4 years A&M transformed into a physical defense lead by Mike Elko with Jimbo battering around average skill talent.
I don’t see any real change from that formula other than some highly touted players to run the scheme without the guy who made it. The last 4 years of Aggie has been driven by Mike Elko. Any sec fan will tell you that as well. Nobody fears Jimbos offensive acumen anymore. We have almost 10 years of data on Jimbo post Jameis……and it’s what we saw this year. Yeah we can point to the Covid year as a step but he still found a way to botch it.
Right now it’s a great class with no real identity. Sure that could change with some major hires but they don’t have many accomplished DCs available. This is why it’s crucial to have a coach who specializes in something. Time will tell. Hell every Aggie I’ve talked to thinks BK is a bad coach…….time will tell on that one too.
