........I'd been leaning to Leach on this all along but if there is a shred of evidence to this- the James' (Baby and Smug Cool Daddy) are both coming out smelling like a steaming pile of shite

ESPN (especially the replacement hosts on Mike and Mike) is REALLY circling the wagons around the James' version of the conflict. Almost no coverage of the pro-Leach emails and accounts. (12/31)

Well if the red rodents don't win the Alamo Bowl at least they still have bragging rights to the "meat-handling" championship.

It seems like Mike Leach is his own worst enemy. i am sure if he had appologized this would all be over with. its not like he is denying what happened. all he had to do was sign an apology. no one said it had to be sincere.

yea, i saw the espn reporting last nite during the nebraska/az game. so one-sided that it was a disgrace to the word jounalism. i don't know all of the details of the incident and neither do they. they may (probably) know the elder james side and they are taking it publicaly. in my opinion, that's irresponsible and unprofessional jounalism, which seems to be the norm these days. it is spin; no other word describes it better. coach leach is going to have his day in court and i have a feeling TT is gonna pay through the nose, even if the court disagrees with leach's punishment. there is too much evidence to suggest they used this as an excuse to fire him. while that is their prerogative, they may still owe the man his $800,000 and his $1.6 mil if not the entire contractual amount plus legal expenses. the bad pub generated from this will hurt TT a long time, not only in selecting a HC but much of the fan base is super pissed off. i pity the next coach as he better hit the road winning because ticket sales will surely plummet if not.

wrong man. the apology is an admission of guilt. i'm sure his lawyer wouldn't allow an apology. as far as him denying "what happened", it's not that simple as rumors abound as to "what happened". the wording of the apology letter was probaby such that all of the onus was on leach and it probably made him admit to violating his contract so TT could fire him w/o facing a court challenge. lawyers pretty much run the world man. it's all about posturing.

This. All the apology would've done is give TT ammo to fire with cause.
