Great Hire!!! Thank you Coach MIles for taking your time and interviewing so many candidates. My biggest fear was hiring someone who was too young and would leave after a few years and have entry to Louisiana recruits. After what Krag's has been thru I'm sure he's ready to focus on what he most enjoys and that's coaching the offense and developing QB's and staying with the program.

yeah the biggest thing about finding an OC is finding one who is ready to die in Baton Rouge

Randy Rosetta confirms Kragthorpe is the new OC
extremely disappointing, these washed out head coaches often don't do very well as coordinators (see Greg Robinson)
See Ron cooper

Ex: Charlie Weis did just as bad at Notre Dame but changed the Cheifs offense to one of the best in the league really fast? We will be fine people.

That's who I wanted at first too, but I will take the guy that is way more experienced in major conferences.
Vs
a guy who is 33 and oc in the WAC, Mac or whatever

Who did the omniscient Cowboys Tigers want?

What a underwhelming hire. WoW. I'm worried about our QBs. I think this guy is overrated with QBs. Who has he actually developed a full 4 years that turned out worth a damn? Bledsoe? Dude was like a 10 year+ vet by the time Krag came along...
Oh well, at least it isn't Crowton anymore.

Oh, .....another "dig." This time, at a screenname. haha Good shite Max. Gotta try to be the Alpha in every posts.

anyway, anyone but Crowton. I don't love nor do I hate the Kragthorpe hire. We'll see what happens. I'm not going to sit here and say I know everything about every coordinator around the country. But I'm not going to act as if just because it's LSU, they should be able to get anyone they want at any point in time. That's just stupid. I like to look to see who's available and let things take it's course.
But I'm sure you're right. This guy is going to suck because he has a sick wife.

Oh, a nice fence sitting stance. Leaves you in the best position to claim you are smarter then whichever side is wrong about Kragthorpe. Very innovative. McNeese is really shaping tomorrow's leaders.

Yep. I'm here for you Max. I am the only one on the fence at all on this hire. The only one.

when he succeeds or fails I can't wait for you to pounce on the side that said he'd do the opposite. You are really gonna finally show some people on here how much smarter you are than them when that happens!

This is why I get so uncomfortable when a coach like Miles gets a $18 million buyout. If he wants to experiment with something, he can because LSU can't do anything about it. Why would you ever tie your hands down like that? I'm not even sure Saban has that high a buyout, not many coaches do...
