This guy has been there since they moved up from I-AA. He has them competing for the Big East title just a few years later. Played QB at Syracuse, so I don't see him ever leaving for his Alma Mater (he could probably go there this year if he wanted that). Former assistant with Jacksonville Jaguars and former DC at Georgia Tech, so he knows the South.
He looks like a football coach.

I brought this up on the More Sports Board a while back. I think he's had limited success outside of this year, which is the hang up about him. That being said, I think Bertman would be likely to go after a guy like Edsall than a big name, high-price-tag coach.

knowing Skip....edsall is probably very possible. Supposedly talks to Bill B a lot.

Vince Lombardi would have had limited success at UConn until the last few years. They just moved up from IAA. They went 9-3 in their first year in I-A under Edsall. I also like Schiano.

Schiano is supposed to be waiting on the PSU job

LSU could do a lot worse than Edsall, as he is a very competent HC, but his lack of familiarity to the South/SEC would bring about yet another hard learning curve for the 3rd straight hire.
