I like Les. I hope he gets it right and is our coach for years.
Two questions: 1) Why did we have a sub-par year? 2) At what point does it become evident that Les should no longer be our coach?

A football team is more complex than a spaceship. Personally, I think the combination of inexperience, and a collective failure to overcome adversity led to the final result. We didn't have the pieces in place to beat Florida or UGA, but emotionally, the Bama game broke the season. No legitimate excuses for Ole Miss and Arkansas, other than we just didn't try hard enough.

What I found ironic about Saban's statement is no one has taken advantage of the reward side of the high risk/high reward of big time coaching than him recently. Now he is all hacked off when the risk side comes to the forefront. You can't have it both ways.
In other words, it is a business where you can make hay, relative to the amount of sunshine experienced in your most recent body of work, and I think coaches at that level should be willing to accept that, relative to the amount of compensation they receive.

After this season, Saban is a 7-5 away from the same thing. Bama has the most delusional fanbase in the world and they will rain shite all over Saban if he does not deliver a championship this year, next year and from now on.
