If Brian Kelly recruited one HC (Frank Wilson) would it be crazy to think he could get another one to do the same in Justin Wilcox? Before you start opining about SEC remember JW was DC at Tennessee AND he only makes $1.9 million per year. Then there is this bit of info: LINK

I don’t think there is a chance that someone would turn down HC @ Oregon so they could come be DC @ LSU but I’ll upvote you for the great article linked.

Frank was making about $200k at McNeese. It’s pretty easy to beat that and lure him away. For most people, being the head coach at Cal is better than being the DC at LSU. That dude certainly didn’t turn down the HC at Oregon to be the DC at LSU

He makes 3 million at Cal, and appears to to be on the hot seat. So I doubt he’s getting a raise there. He was a DC 11 years at various schools before Cal HC. Maybe he likes being a DC. Rumor was we were going to offer Lebby 3.5 million. You never know.

He is not leaving his buddies Sirmon (DC) and Musgrave (OC) that played at Oregon.
