This stat is already there. If you want to know that just do the math. Scoring offense will give you all you need. Plus, who cares only about points per drive if the defense gets a pick six or fumble recovery for a TD? The ppd were not that important in that game.
I'd rather just follow scoring offense and couple that with scoring defense and defensive/special teams scores.

That was the whole point of my post, that scoring offense can be significantly biased
