ESPECIALLY this early. Every coach will say the same thing until its a done deal after the season, and one unlucky fan base will be pissed that they were "lied to".

Perfect non-answer, just as anyone interested in the job would give.

Herman "they haven't contacted me yet = theyre talking to my agent and I'll be LSU's coach next year

why are these people asking current coaches about the LSU job while they're in the middle of a season. are they expecting legit answers?

with that said....i hope Petrino stays far away from Baton Rouge

So that's Shaw and now Petrino who have publically turned down the LSU job?

Link to in-season coaches accepting a job at the CFB level?

Outside of Petrino himself.

What is wrong with B?

I mean the As are obvious- Bama, A&M, Oregon, maybe Oklahoma State.

Given those amazing facilities there is no shame in a B.

LSU won't contact Herman directly, just like they didn't contact Jimbo directly. Everything done by proxy. That way each coach can directly and truthfully state that they haven't spoken with LSU.

Why any reporter asks a currently employed head coach about an opening at another school is beyond me. Everyone of them will say "I'm happy here and have no interest in leaving. I have not talked to anyone from that institution"

Are they really expecting the coach to say "I have already submitted my resume and will be interviewing next at an undisclosed tarmac next week"

and by the way Petrino would never take the LSU job. You guys better start calling up mid majors, every single sports talk show (ESPN, Fox, CBS, etc) are calling LSU fans unrealistic morons that expect a national championship every year or they will run you off. Good luck finding a coach with that on your back.
