soon. But, I don’t see the “issue” that the new coach wants to make it strictly about the kids in the locker room and not a press conference, about himself

You and your fans on twitter keep repeating this

How does a press conference introducing yourself as the head coach take away anything from your football team?

Is Golding just going to avoid the media for 10 days?

Yes, ignore everything else that was said. You’re missing the point of how all of this transpired and that’s fine. You and your fans are saying that, so I get why you’re confused. Have fun with the Lane Train and buckle up. He better win.

Still trying to understand how an hour long press conference for your new head coach is going to derail the focus of your players for a game 10 days away against an unknown opponent

Never said anything about derailing anyone’s focus. You’re missing the point which is totally fine. You’re one of those who want the last word in an argument, so here ya go, champ…

No, I'm not

"Pete won't have a press conference because he doesn't want it to be about him"

I get it. That's the point. It's just dumb. He's now a head coach of a football program. Having a press conference tomorrow and being introduced as the leader of the football program affects absolutely nothing about "playoff prep" lol

Did he know getting in front of media and being asked questions is part of the gig? Or is he going to pull the "Sorry, can't answer - got to prep for playoffs" card all week?

He’s not making the situation about himself unlike other coaches

OM fans loved the coach you’re referring to and now that he kicked y’all to the curd it’s suddenly a problem and not something a real coach would do

The real question here is why do you give a shite? You got your guy to coach your team. Why do you care what is/is not happening in Oxford?

The retrospective in 5 years from this will be glorious.

If he can’t handle game prep and a press conference then prolly not HC material. It’s part of the job.

College Football is not all about the players. It's all about the fans. The money is generated from fans and boosters. The media circus is a duty the coach has to do. To not do so, effects the whole program in a negative way.

I would have never guessed that the softest fan base in college football would be melting down about someone else’s coach not having an introductory press conferences.

Never would have guessed it.

They are in a constant and desperate search for validation. Lane is the absolute perfect coach for that fan base.

That's rich considering there's hoardes of scorned lovers who root for OM under every single LSU post on social media right now

Why do you give a shite about me laughing at Ole Miss's coach being too chickenshit to do a press conference and uses "playoff prep" as an excuse lmao
