I don’t think he gets enough credit. I think what he’s doing with UK is a great job. It’s really hard to do well at UK.

ETA: He’s not my first choice, but I think he would do well here.

If O hadn’t had a personal meltdown and lost control of the program he wouldn’t have been fired.

ORGERON WAS NOT FIRED BECAUSE HE LOST GAMES.

Orgeron was fired because he lost control of himself and the program. Anyone in any job would be let go after two years of personal and professional incompetence.

Don’t blame this on the fans or a demanding culture. The blame lies solely on Orgeron.

So why wouldn’t these coaches such as Luke fickle, billy Napier, James Franklin and Dave Aranda just stay at their current jobs getting paid millions and celebrated for going 9-3 or 10-2, where as those records at LSU could land a coach on a hot seat.

Because Titles, motherfricker. Real coaches want rings, and this school is proven in that regard.

Out of that group, only Franklin has a legit shot to win them where he is. Fickel might back his way into the playoff this year, but he has no chance of ever winning one at Cincy in the downgraded B12.
