I'm having a hard time finding an article or video because most of the keywords are relatable to the last few days with all this Saban drama so searched are dilluted.
Around the beginning of December in 2004 there was speculation that NS was getting NFL offers. In a media press conference, when he asked, he said "It's untrue, I am staying at Louisiana State University, I love it here blah blah" a week or two later he leaves on Christmas Day because the Dolphins offered him like three times what we were paying him.
It happened, I promise.
He did the same thing after he flopped in Miami too. I'm sure you guys remember that. "I am not going to be the coach at Alabama" ... well..
I'm told he did the same thing when he left MSU for LSU, too, but I know nothing from the experience.

Maybe Lil' Nicky pulls the old double cross and signs with Texas. The extension doesn't mean a whole lot. He was under contract before signing the extension.
