It is more likely that Gus and Les are hired than Saban at this point, imho. Les as a last resort.
I kinda feel like they are way too snobby and feel way too superior to actually hire Les. But he'll probably get a fat new contract like his bff nicky did.

You denying that the Mack not resigning on Friday, Saban announcement on Friday, and Mack resignation on Saturday is connected?

Guessing you weren't paying attention back then. Carr announced he was retiring but campaigned against Miles as his replacement.
Nice try at zooming.
Fail.
Try again.

Why?
The same reasons that made you insistent that Saban would stay applies to those two.
Because neither FSU or AU will go up to $7+ mil a year. Heck, AU didn't even give Gus $4 mil. And both are young enough for that kind of money to be a difference maker when factored in with the fact they wouldn't have to play second fiddle anymore to their instate rivals when it comes to prestige and publicity.

Nor should they IMO. $7M for a college coach is getting ridiculous.

Texas needs to just let Saban go. They don't NEED a coach the caliber of Nick Saban and could save a ton of money. There are probably at least 5 or 6 coaches in college football right now that could go win a national title at Texas. Just go get one of them you dip shits and stop making this more complicated than it has to be.

TBH, I think they should probably just go out to Vandy and get Franklin and call it a day. But they won't.

You are so terrified. And I honestly don't know why. I'm completely off the Saban to UT bandwagon.

you think texas is worried about saving money?
seriously?

Not at all. Now, the dozens among dozens of LSU fans involved in this forum rooting for it to happen? Yep.
My response is more geared toward the Texas fans than anything. I was prepared for Saban to go to Texas and was thinking of good replacements.

No. Just saying, why pay a coach 10 mill a year when they could get similar results paying someone 3 or 4 million that would be there much longer?

I agree, but that is the top tier bar that has been set. Even A&M went to $5 mil for a coach that hasn't even won a division title or made a BCS bowl game.
Posted on 12/14/13 at 8:04 pm to Bamatab
Wait...I thought we won the division last year... Holy shite we're paying Sumlin guy that much for zero titles?

Thanks

Texas new plan "Bleed the SEC Dry" leak stories about hiring all the major SEC coaches and get them all big raises and deplete SEC resources.
Posted on 12/14/13 at 8:07 pm to Bamatab
With the resources Texas has, there are several great coaches they could hire and get great results. Texas fans act like landing Saban was their last hope. That is ridiculous.
