People keep saying the "defense lost focus", they "missed tackles"...

ya know, the guy can only do so much. Players have to execute, and we havent been lately.

in 05 and 06 his D gave up 20 points only 4 times in games that didnt go into overtime. 4 fricking games.

it's not his fault that injuries occurred, but there are talented backups. one of the huge problems his D has had is tackling, they don't tackle properly which is basic coaching. watch auburn's D, with arguably way less talent they shut DMAC down.

Don't you think it evry hard to shut down a run game when you have 3 1st rounders RB/FB in the back pounding you all day (DMC, JONES , HILLIS)

oh BTW

How many rush yrds we gave up in the 1st half?

If you keep the defense on the field for a loong time against an offense like that with backup DB (Cutrerra and Mccray) as well as bac up DL , then YEs you will be burned by DMAC and co

felix jones barely played, yet every run he had was nearly a huge one because the D couldn't contain the edge. if arky's ground game is so dominant, then how have they been contained throughout the year by many other teams. including teams with questionable D's such as Tenn.

I am a big Pelini supporter. We shall see if he has the pilitical and PR skills to run a huge program like that. TO me that was his major unknown

hillis is a first rounder now?
and felix jones was still hurt even though he managed to gash the D repeatedly

this is true to an extent, although arkansas really started to run straight through the defense once they started letting mcfadden run the wildcat more

of course he will

after heavy doses of DMC and Hillis, any RB will have a field day

you've made posts in the past that lead me to believe you're affiliated with my school. but i really hope you're not because you consistently post some of the stupidest shite that i've seen on this board. you seem to have the logical reasoning/grammatical skills of a 15 year old. keep thinking pelini is "the greatest DC ever" and you keep "wishing he stays forever" :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Don't think he should have the privilege of coaching tomorrow either. Skip should fire him now.

Wow some of you LSU fans are way to picky. I'd rather be 10-2 than 5-7 any day. It doesn't help you guys out that much when your offense doesn't get things done therefore allowing your Defense to be on the field more.
If your Defense is on the field more than your Offense you're defense is bound to get tired and give up some big numbers. Bo Pelini is one of College Footballs greatest DC in college football history. Nebraska will gladly take it....so Thank you LSU......Thank You.
