Supposedly trying to finalize a deal.

Best possible hire in my opinion. All I heard from the talking heads all year was 2 teams play defense. LSU and Alabama, and the occasional, Michstate. Since we can't pry anyone from LSU or Bama, I'll take a guy doing what he's done with the talent he had and add Texas recruiting.

I would hate to see him go, he's an excellent coach.

Our defense is returning almost everyone next year, so a transition might not be as bad as it would be otherwise, because there are good pieces in place.

Narduzzi back in Michigan today....MSU is trying to counteroffer. Rumor is they are will willing to go $500,000 a yr and A&M will go as high as $750,000. Will be interesting to see if we can pull him away.

If we lose this guy over money, it is inexcusable. If we lose him because he was never serious about leaving MSU in the first place, well....shite.

We won't lose him over money. MSU won't outbid us the question is how much we have to out-bid MSU for him to leave. If MSU comes up with $500,000 and we offer $650,000 then he might just stay. He has a strong relationship with MSU head coach Dantone.

Reports on Twitter that he's staying in EL. Joe Rexrode, a pretty reliable source on MSU stuff says that this is just speculation though.

That "Chris Fuller" that I saw a lot of MSU people retweeting doesn't report on Texas A&M sports, fwiw

Ah, I gotcha. That's the only person I saw being referenced. Another Lansing sports guy just tweeted that Narduzzi hasn't made a decision.

To sum things up, nobody has a fricking idea what's up.

For sure. If he isn't swayed by money then he'll be back with MSU, since that's probably the only thing we have going for us.

He's a hell of a DC. I can't believe he hasn't gotten a HCing offer yet.
