Oregon is about to be 2-3 losing right now 44-26 to Washington State. I'm not sure they can make a bowl game

UC Davis WON
Virginia WON
@ Nebraska LOSS
Colorado Loss
Washington State down 44-26

I just don't see 4 wins with the rest of their schedule

Washington
@Cal on a Friday night tough game
Arizona State
@USC
Stanford
@Utah
@Oregon State

He gone.

Must be incredibly frustrating to watch how other guys did it, try to replicate it, and not know what you're doing wrong.

I'm not even sure what direction Oregon goes afterwards outside of trying to lure Kelly back.

Who out there is a fit that would make the jump? Harsin maybe? Or do they go with an OC?

Uncle Phil can compete with any AD in America if it comes down to money- hell the better and more popular teams get the more he can dump into OU.

My only question for Oregon is are they married to their style? Phil will hand over the money, but will he hand it over to anyone or only those guys that fit the mold?

I assume they will have a style lean in their selection

Having a different uniform every week tells you how much they value flashy style in that football program.

They certainly aren't hiring a defensive minded coach that's for sure

Regardless of the amount of money being pumped in by Uncle Phil, unless they can get players on campus, they will not have recruiting success. Other teams around them are getting better (e.g. Washington), and recruiting is getting harder.

Them having to start graduate transfers at QB in consecutive seasons is a bad sign that they are not able to recruit the "next Mariotta".

I know Nebraska fans want Frost really bad. He was a hot commodity last year.

1 year of HC experience after this year.

I know folks are all convinced Herman will go to TX, but he'd be a great fit at OR. And it's not like they don't have resources to compete at the top level.

Herman isn't going to Oregon over Texas and LSU.
