somebody was saying Walker's name had already come up from like SI.com or somewhere. seems to me they could do a lot better.

word is from great sources it is all done except for the ink drying on the contract. PC unhappy with AD Mike Garret and how he handled things at USC and who also vetoed Coach O coming on board. Riley (fingers crossed) #1 target for HC, with Coach O coming aboard, and possibely Chow back at OC. Bates (yipee) and maybe Norton to go with PC. Mike garret catching heat and the fat cats want him out, even before PC was rumored to leave. AT this point, most see him as gone with the vast majority not being bitter. Just not happy with the timing (recruits). I think we'll be okay.

same here. I do not think PC or Saban have the personality do do well in the NFL as far as player management--at least in my opinion. On opposite ends of the spectrum anad I don't think these hig priced egotistical players would respond well. One teacher way too easy (great for college) another way to hard (great for college).

They weren't in the past. They had loads of titles and a dynasty but it fell apart in the 70s. They went 30 years with no championships. With UCLA making a move with Neuheisel, Arizona finally getting it together under Stoops, Oregon hitting a stride with Kelly, Stanford rising under Harbaugh, and Washington showing promise with Sarkisian, USC may face some challenges for the first time in a long while.

I think they might miss Norton from a recruiting standpoint. I think he's someone to watch in the future possibly when he gets more experience.

I think O would like to make a move up to DC rather than remaining a position coach. I doubt he gets that opportunity in the NFL but he very well could do it in college, possibly at USC. Still, it would take a good situation to make him leave UT. Even as big a douchebag as Lane Kiffin is and as much trouble as they are heading for, O still makes around $650K per year and has a safety net with LK. They are two douchebag peas in a douchebag pod.
