Would much rather take a flyer on a young guy if Drink is the only “name” that would consider coming.
Absolutely. I'd rather have the potential upside of a Charles Huff or Mike Shanahan (Indiana OC) than Drink.

I will say this:
Drink would very likely be better than Kelly. I don’t think it’s that easy for mizzou to get elite talent.
I have watched a fair amount of mizzou games and I consistently come away impressed that he doesn’t make stupid coaching decisions and his teams always play hard. You know he is tired of being somewhere that doesn’t get much credit for their accomplishments.
That all said-he is not worth backing up a brinks truck for in my opinion. I am like most here that think we are better figuring out a younger hungry coach w lower base and buyout but incentive heavy based contract.
If going that route I think Aleksy Goelesh has an amazing drive and a program building skillset. Does that mean he will be able to make the leap into the SEC? Who knows? My second choice in this scenario is Morris from North Texas.
As far as Lane is concerned you, me, and everyone else who is honest are gonna lose our collective minds watching him stupidly go for unnecessary fourth downs in bad scenarios. I have seen a couple of those decisions cost him games. If he tightens that up then he could potentially crush at a place like LSU. You absolutely know for a fact that he thinks and knows he can coach circles around coach O and it has to eat at him a little bit that O has a National Title and he doesn’t. He has to know if O did it at LSU then he sure as hell could.
