If this drags out for a week then Lane and LSU move on, Ole Miss still spent that whole week with our guy in place while one of our biggest rivals burned daylight on their recruiting season with early signing period days away, 80% of all recruits sign then. That’s a good thing for Ole Miss. The hits just keep rolling.

When BK was dismissed, as a fan you have to know an active coach would not be grabbed until their season is over. Season ends next week and that’s the first time people should expect active coaches to jump ship. The one hire that has happened was a coach that was fired already.

Announcing and decisions are different things. Coaching the Egg Bowl and announcing his future does not mean he doesn't sign for a week. There have been plenty of instances of coaches coaching after signing with a new school.
It is pretty simple to agree to let him coach the egg bowl by both schools, sign, and delay announcement.
Also, unless the schedule for recruiting changes this is going to happen at other schools in the future. This is just the first time.

It doesn't matter what coach you pick, you aren't announcing until after the OU game.
There's already been reports that LSU has been in contact multiple times with Drink and Dilly.
