A new name to surface has been Missouri coach Barry Odom. He’s 19-18 in his first three years with the Tigers but three different sources have confirmed there’s mutual interest between Odom and Louisville.

Does the Missouri fanbase even like him?

Lateral move Id say
Easier to get to 8 or 9 wins in ACC though

Not really.
He's just a guy honestly.
Problem is most Mizzou fans don't think anyone else would take the job and are scared to slip back into the 90s.

Our coaching search, much like our football team, is a clown show

8-9 wins is enough to keep your job at most schools. If you can stay at 8-9 wins and have a spike year every so often, you'll be okay at Louisville for 5+ seasons.
At $3.5M a year, that's close to $17.5M dollars. Compare that to Missouri, where you actually have to win and the SEC is brutal.
I think a job that pays well and has more job security is the better option.

He’s trying to get a raise. Don’t fall for it.

Let him walk and go after Leach

It would be pretty pathetic of him to make a lateral (at best) move like that after the whole "I'm the man to turn around Mizzou" press conference meltdown he had last year.

What’s weird is he went to school there and played.
