I think truth is somewhere inbetween. It was my understanding he really enjoyed the job at UK and only left because it was an NFL OC position under McVay (who he’s close with). But almost certainly that McVay is done.

He announced he was leaving before they decided this but the Rams are not blocking their assistants from leaving for lateral moves if they want to. That seems like a pretty definitive sign on McVay.
