Well yea. I just think that this past coaching search would have weeded out our 'insiders', but we have a few that are just continuing the same old song and dance.

I told you Raymond leaving was a distinct possibility about 3 weeks ago.
I mean, he has “threatened” to leave for 3 years now. Wasn’t a huge call.
Now you may “know someone who knows someone” that is telling you stuff, but it’s pretty obvious that nobody here is just highly connected to the inner workings of LSU right now (or those that are actually connected aren’t saying shite).

You are brain dead if you thought LSU didn’t want him back.
Lol. If “LSU wanted him back” he would be back.

Raymond chose to leave. He wasn’t fired.
Yes and no. He was not going to have as big a role or title with Frank coming back. The real statement is “he was allowed to leave” meaning LSU did nothing to fight to keep him.

If anything, it seems LSU was complacent with him. They seemed to have the mentality that he wouldn’t go anywhere else. The salaries around him grew while his stayed the same. Just like a complacent relationship, a new, shiny, bubbly coach comes around and made him feel desired.
False. Dude got a raise almost every year (even though the pass defense got worse).

False too. He didn't get a raise every year. Probably half his tenure here he was the lowest paid coach on the staff that had the highest production in recruiting/development. It was only the past few years he got a raise that was long overdue for bargain bin shopping on him. LSU was absolutely overly complacent with him due to his loyal love. They took advantage of it and he got tired of it being passed up on everything. Raymond may have only been second to Frank here with both their times at LSU. There was definitely a point where I'd argue Raymond was on Frank's level. Past few years is hard to pin since everyone looked like shite under O who was a moron.

I was told it was Sean Payton

I knew he got an extension last year, but I thought it was related to talks about him going elsewhere. It seems odd to me that he’d leave his alma mater for a rival, if money isn’t the issue?

Again, how incredibly convenient for you.

The point is I knew Raymond was leaving, posted it,
You just posted that you said Raymond leaving was a possibility. You didn’t know it, nor did you post that you knew it.

and was blasted for it
As you should be.

Pretty much the same names I was told.
Denbrock, Briles, and Ruggiero as a dark horse.
We will see how this unfolds.

If Kelly thought he was worth it, he would have matched anything Florida is offering, but he didn’t.

So in your mind, Raymond isn’t a valuable asset?

It doesn't matter what anyone's onion of Raymond is. Kelly's actions tell us he didn't feel Raymond was a valuable asset, or at least not an asset that was worth $850k per year.
