Solid hire for Ole Miss, IMO. Even with this being considered a "disappointing" year by some Arkie folks, they still won 8 games, beat the #1 team in the nation and are likely going to the Cotton Bowl or another good Jan. 1 bowl game.

maybe/maybe not. while he has had some good success in his tenure at UA, he has never had great success...which i think is reflected in his SEC record as well as his bowl record.
i would agree that it is an upgrade from what what was in place at Ole Myth, however.

Houston Nutt is a coach that will win 6-8 games per year on a steady basis (w/ the odd 4-5 win season or 9-10 win season thrown in once in a while to balance things out). At Ole Miss, that is probably acceptable.

For a team that went 0-for-the-SEC this year, getting a guy that was just in the SEC championship game last year is a solid hire.

Nutt may be signing and it may be a done deal but it looks like some folks may be jumping the gun on that story.
