Our fans hate Saban because we are scared of him, and it is this same fear that has caused so many to turn on Miles after just one average year. It’s ashamed that we can’t stand up and support a coach that made such a strong commitment to LSU and her fans just one year ago. What fair-weather fans we are.

Are you insane?

Everyone on this board understands the situation Miles was in with the QB and supported Miles with the Perrilloux decision.

However, his decision on the DCs was WRONG. It failed.

And Miles decision to commit to LSU does not give him the the right to make the same mistake next season. LSU gives him money for coaching this team and will take it away if he doesn't continue to win, and neither the administration nor the fans are obligated to sit through several seasons of bone-headed decision to make that decision.

What about the commitment the players made?

Are there any links with definitive answers that Miles will be finally making a DC change?
No. And if he even does, it won't be until after Jan. 1st.

And in the eyes of many that one bad decision has caused them to turn on him. What is this "several seasons" crap? It was one bad year! You are proving my point. People are acting like we've been losing for years. We have sat through ONE bad season, so why all the hate for Miles? This ONE bad season came after several great seasons and a national championship. He made a mistake, and he will attempt to correct it this offseason. It's this type of mentality that has made the coaching profession a joke in some ways. One bad year and the fans and administration are ready to run you out of town. This is why there will not be many more Joe Paterno's or Bobby Bowden's. These guys had bad years mixed in with all the good. I'm not advocating one good year out of five though...the bad years should obviously be the exception. My point is that to be a long term national power I think we need stability at the head coaching position. And Miles has a stellar record while here. Now if there is no improvement over the next couple of years it may be time to move on. But until then I'll stand behind Miles and trust that he'll make the right decisions. All of this panicking about coaching decisions needing to made immediately following the last game just to please the masses just doesn’t make sense, and it makes us look terrible in my opinion. The decisions will be made. Why bash Miles just because they weren’t made on the specific day or week that some fans expected?
