Its pretty much a forgone conlcusion that the LSU fanbase is demanding a change at OC.
Will Miles make that change ? Well that is yet to be determined
People say that almost pretty much Miles' job is in the balance with this hire.
Well to me a guy that gets the ball to his playmakers hands better than anyone or just as good as anyone in the country is Norm Chow.
What he did at USC during that time span was tremendously impressive. He's a QB guru as well
His offenses are not this spread it out crap as well, it is west coast variety, but he runs the ball and mixes plenty of play action passing. I think would be a great fit here at LSU
He's a guy that is not looking for a HC gig, so LSU if the hire would work out, would have him and Chavis as the Coordinators for as long as they would want the job.
Now the only downfall would be his recruiting, well in his defense now Crowton doesn't do jack shite recruiting anyways.
Thoughts ?

But it isn't a forgone conclusion that Crowton will be fired. He'll be owed $1 million if he's fired at the end of this year.

You think LSU has more money than UCLA?

Obviously more $$ and better competition in the SEC.

LSU would poney up the money for him. UCLA doesn't give a shite about football. They hired a freaking criminal for gods sake as the HC

Because you didn't include the part about Crowton being owed $1 million if he's fired.

He left the NFL to go to UCLA. I'm not sure competition matters all that much. What I do think matters to him is living in California and getting a shot at Pete Carroll every year. LSU might offer 100K more a year, but that's not going to be worth the drop in quality of life he'd have if he moved from Los Angeles to Baton Rouge.

My whole point of my post is
Miles needs to know his job is in jeopardy.
He must do all he can to make the best hire he possibly can if he truly loves his job
I would even be willing to say, that the type of man Miles is. He might be willing to take off 250,000 a year off his contract.
Look what that has done for Sean Payton. He restructured his contract to get a DC in there and look at the improvement that side of the ball has made.

No, they just don't know Crowton's contract and salary. Get a fricking grip, dude.

I don't think there's any way he doesn't know he's on the hot seat next year. If he can't just "feel" it, I'm sure it will be made clear to him.

If Miles wins out, I wonder if the gets the hot seat talk. I would tend to doubt it. Lose to Arkansas and it's for sure he gets it.
