If I were an SEC school, I'd raise the cost of doing business on LSU yearly.

If they somehow made it work where their coordinators were paid substantially more than everywhere else it could work out for LSU with the right staffing hires. This is based off the fact Ogeron will get paid shite money compared to other top program head coaches.
Orgeron is the trusted loyal coach. He is the recruiting coordinator, motivates, and mentors.
Offensive Coordinator is a big time coach getting paid head coach money at medium sized programs.
Defensive Coordinator is a big time coach getting paid head coach money at medium sized programs.

LSU is going to pay $2-4 millioneach for the top three coaching spots instead of it being top heavy on the top guy. We will see how their strategy works.
