CAL is looking for football hc.

Why is it relevant that cal just changed nike/underarm sponsors?

People mentioned it in dykes thread.

What does it matter what shoe companies clothes players wear?

For football? No.

For basketball? Yes. The shoe companies get their teeth into these kids early and push them to prospective schools.

I get that they get the AAU hoops kids to identify. I am a nike guy. I will go to a nike school.

was wondering if the issue really matters in football. in europe, long ago, something similar went on in soccer with Adidas and Puma.

Sometimes it comes down to the ball that is used in a game....I know that Nike has a good football whereas; Under Armour not so much.
