Hoping they go bold and look for a talented coach that can be a coach in waiting possibility to ensure program stability when Les is done.

will likely not be hired in the next 12 months, but will certainly be chosen way too late, after much ignorant speculation from self-proclaimed insiders.

Miles keeps hiring these old curmudgeons that are past their prime and have been fired from their previous jobs.

If he is truly trying to do what's best for LSU, he'd get a young coach that is use to high powered passing offenses and they would tweak that system to incorporate the running game. Oklahoma getting Lincoln Riley is a perfect example.

Perine 1300 yards 16 TDs
Mixon 750 yards 7 TDs
Mayfield 420 yards 7 TDs

Both Perine and Mixon are over 6 ypc with Mixon nearing 7.

Mayfield has thrown for close to 3400 yards 35 TDs 5 ints completing nearly 69% of his passes at a crazy 9.6 ypa.

2 years ago, Mayfield's stats were worse than Brandon Harris's are this year, minus the cmp%. He wasn't even that great in the spring game this year, now he is a freaking heisman contender??? Dude was a walk on at Texas Tech!

Pains me to see MilesLSU can't produce a QB and at least try to step into modern times. Stop hiring old fogies on the tail end of their careers and get a young OC that likes to sling the ball around AND LET HIM DO IT! You lose nothing in the run game with guys like Fournette and Guice in the backfield.

All I can hope for, is that Miles has a coming to Jesus moment in the next month. He could revitalize his career if he just loosens the reins.

Hard to trust that they will do that, but I hope they do.

Look at Miles track record. He meddles. What young OC wants to step into that. Career suicide.

Has Miles ever hired an OC under the age of 50?

I like Miles, but this is clearly his problem. He just doesn't trust an OC to run the Offense. And he can't develop a QB.

Saban bringing in Kiffin was brilliant. He could be here for the next 10 years of he would let go of the offense. We will see, we will see.

FFS. Les already tried to get his contract extended and they refused to do it.
