Sid Edwards would be a great fit.

I kind of wish the dude had stuck around at southeastern for a while, he probably could have built a decent program there.

If he would've stayed at least 1 more year, he would have gotten a better job.

I wonder if he would take $225k to coach QBs/WRs at LSU? The Big 12 teams are all throwing the ball 60-70 times per game, so he'll probably land there, having pioneered that offense at Kentucky.

It's kind of interesting how different his career and Mike Leach's have turned out ever since Leach left Mumme to become Oklahoma's OC...

Who are you hearing is up for the job at NMSU? Tony Field (Jimmy Field's bro) played there. Some LSU connections U High Coach and '58er Daye.

Guys like Mume wont take second fiddle to a Gary Crowton. Mume coaches his own style and it does not mesh with Crowton or anyone in the SEC right now.

The link says that they will honor Joe Lee Dunn's contract for another year. It will be a hard job for a young coach to overcoach JLD. Did not say he had to stay as a co-ordinator. Who could follow Mumme with a similar Offense????

Go look at Tulsa, Texas Tech, Troy, and Georgia Southern. System is the same as Mume. Neal Brown from Troy took over after Franklin left for Aurburn. Obviously Franklin does not have a job but he hates Mume so New Mexico is out of the question. If they want to keep the offense I would try to pick off an assistant at one of these schools.

I doubt that the school has had a winning team since Warren Woodson was HC. He was far ahead of his time with the O. Had to pass and pass.

Mumme should just go back to Southeastern, if they would take him...

The Offense isn't our problem. It is the D we need help with. Maybe we can get Mallory to come to Southeastern as a d coordinator.
