More like two weeks and only so many coaches (10) can be recruiting for a school, ie: the coaches on payroll. December 12, 2016 to January 11, 2017 is a dead period in recruiting per the NCAA recruiting calendar.
The dead period is the most restrictive. No in-person contact is allowed, even if a prospect makes a visit to the college campus. Written and electronic communications are still permitted.
