Doubt it ... being HC at UF now >> being HC at UT in an undetermined number of years in the future.
I bet he would've taken the LSU or UGA HC jobs if either were in the market.

His defense was fine ... UT's offense continuously put their defense in bad situations with turnovers.

The #7 ranked defense in the country? Texas's problem were more about offense (#59) and turnovers (#116 in TO margin) than defense.
He was the highest paid coordinator in the country, but that's not going to compare to the salary for a HC at any SEC school.

Just read on the SI rumors page the reason he took the job is because he was "irked" at Mack Brown...Supposedly in the off season Brown committed to stepping down after 2010 but the losing record changed his mind as he feared it would tarnish his legacy....take it for what its worth...
