If I was Monte I would abandon the Tampa 2 right now.

Getting enough good MLBs and DEs is going to be nearly impossible in the college game.

Derrick Brooks makes that defense work

period

There was a recent SI article on Derrick Brooks and what he does to game prep and even 14 years into the League he still works like a beast in the film room and on the practice field

I find it sort of funny that people think that teams don't run a version of the tampa 2 in college right now. This stuff is nothing new and Dungy didnt "invent" it. He learned it as a player under Woody Widenhoffer and George Perles with the Pittsburgh Steelers and then Dungy put his own variation on it

Yea and Drew Brees seen all that in the last game with Tampa this year. Safety robbers all over the middle, made him look horrible in that game.

It's not going to be a hard transition for us. Chavis runs cover 2 alot with us and we recruited the same type of athletes that are needed.

Not exactly ideal for college ball since guys are in and out in a matter of years

same with the DEs

6-4, 260 lb badass pass rushers don't just spring up from college every year in great #s

and the schools above UTenn generally get the everson griffins. i guess they coulda gotten bowers this past year

there is an argument that he may not be in the top 5 in the NFL right now
Favre is a top 10 QB of all time. He's not top 10 right now. Get it?

the colts have done fine losing WLB after WLB. it can be done. the lions have a good WLB

and other teams run the tampa 2, but not as their base

I'm sure his mind was made up. I doubt it came down to money

MK will work 1/2 as much at UT as he did in Tampa Bay. That is why Ogre was so important to them, MK will basically be an in-season coach only so Ogre will have to pick up the administrative and recruiting slack. Much like Porter and Henson do at LSU for Crowton

He's 68 years old, he deserved to leave on his own terms. You're just pulling things out of your arse.

Man, I hope Tennessee's coaching staff fails miserably. Seeing the optimism of other fanbases is like pouring hydrochloric acid into my eyes.
