I like that. But was that really so much different than what he actually said?
thanks for answering btw

Sugar coating the situation helps nothing either

also, I in no way want Crowton back. Even if it's more a PR move than an actual football move, I think it's necessary. But I don't think anything that's come out today makes me any less hopeful that he'll be gone.

you know, maybe not. but surely you can understand how quotes like "i like what going on" and the talk of progress can chap ones arse?

I agree. But nothing he could possibly SAY could possibly help the situation. It's all about what he does. And I'm still very hopeful of a new OC. That said, if Crowton does come back, I don't think we should forfeit the '11 season.

Recruiting. If he comes out and says I know my OC sucks Im going to fire him that creates instability in the program...you dont risk instability when you have the class that we have regardless of how much you think our offense sucked. Trust me in players eyes and particurally their parents eyes crappy OC>no OC

Oh no doubt. But I think it's more indicative of his style or just plain stubbornness than his obliviousness. Though that could certainly be just as dangerous.

Im not saying to not change OCs Im saying that he wont show his hand in the media until he has a new OC ready to sign on the dotted line. Believe me I want Crowton gone

If this is true then I am truly sorry, but I cannot support Miles anymore. THis is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!

If you don't land this class, your out of competition for 3 years.
This is likely why they don't consult people like yourself about football.

He didn't say anywhere that there wouldn't be any changes. This is exactly like the co-dcs. Chavis was rumored to be the new DC weeks before we played our bowl game and Miles shot those rumors down.

quote:Miles still is selling the LSU brand and I don't think he wants to put an aura of weakness around the program even if he knows there is one. I don't know if Crowton is gone or not but Miles for shite sure ain't gonna announce it to the media until he's good and ready.
