There is a question if the fan base needs another coach I. guess to be specific that segement of it that is always bellyaching. They do exhaust a lot of us and take some enjoyment out of the game for us.

If we had a Spurrier like name then the fan base maybe would not melt down when we have an average year in the future. WHich will come. We have had too many great years recently so we should see it averaging out. A spuuier would make the fan base feel good because they would have a "name" to make them feel better and tell them it would be all right.

So while I am huge Miles fan, I do see the benefits of a new Coach.

PLus Louisiana chases out the best and brightest out anyway. WHy should Miles be any different

Rocket,

Do you really believe he's gonna stay. I like Les, I like what he has done at LSU, and I think if he turned down Michigan now, he would be here for a while. I like that. It would be great to have a guy stay at LSU and build a program that resembles the legacy of Paterno and Bowden. Granted, those kinda guys are not prominently diplayed in the college landscape these days, and I don't know if Les is capable of holding that kind of legacy (I would like to hope so). But, I do hope for LSU to obtain that kind of success and think if Miles passes up UM this go around we atleast have a coach that has a chance at making a run at this type of legacy. Having said that, I still think he goes to UM.

Rocket...this is what you should have used to answer that question:

During this fight, I've seen a lot of changing, in the way you feel about me, and in the way I feel about you. In here, there were two guys killing each other, but I guess that's better than twenty million. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!

Not really. I am at my core very pragmatics and a realist. That is why I am one to go into mitigate the damage mode pretty quick.

I owuld love for Miles to stay. However the only way I see that is if we the unlikely happens and at the end of the night we are in the NC game. MIles might stay to coach his boys through that and I am not sure Michigan would wait.

So I am pretty much resigned to Miles leaving at this point. BUt who knows. We can hope

Rockets criticism was always fair though. And it was mot mean or childish. It was balanced.

I think he does. He has been pretty consistent in asking Tiger fans on here to have a balanced outlook. To be reasonable. In fact much of his mantra has been recently to warn epople that there the state of perfection they are looking for does not exist
