LSU ranks in the Top #5 in BCS schools for winning percentage for the past 6 years, has won more SEC west games than any other school in the west in the past 6 years, is the only school in the SEC to have 4 11 wins in the past 6 years, and is the only school in the SEC to be ranked in the Top 10 4 times in the last 6 seasons.
I say give this coach all the credit in the world. Does he goof up sometimes? Yes. Is he human? Yes. Are people who expect him to be perfect all the time in difficult game situations, in high-pressure moments post-game not also human? Are we who criticize him or have criticized him incapable of error? You know the answers.

It's time to open our eyes people, and see this diamond of a coach we've got,and give him the love he deserves and has earned.

No, he's not Nick Saban, but he doesn't need to be. He's beaten Nick Saban (more than once). And Urban Meyer. And tOSU's Tressel. And tAMu. And a bunch more. And a crystal trophy. And recruiting classes. And how many 11 win seasons since his watch began?

We're all passionate about LSU here, true. But let's get real, Coach Les Miles is unique in his way, brilliant in his way, baffling in his way, loyal sometimes to a fault -- but he is ours!

It took me a while to realize this, but once I started seeing it as this season progressed, I became a new, true believer.

Let's celebrate this man, people.

Well said Jaw! I was not much of a fan but have come to realize what you have. I hope he stays but, if not, I will bet anyone on here a dime that the next coach won't win more than 62 games and 5 bowl games over the next 6 years! Just sayin!

Wow, discussing issues with a coach's contract deserves bannage to you?

He wasn't that specific. Maybe it's because your posts aren't worthy of taking up any more bandwith.

it was a rough night for mafia, game didn't go the way he wanted, Miles possibly staying, some of his fellow negatards showing some love to Les, etc.

So what did he tell his OK State players right after the Alamo Bowl...which was also right before he took the LSU job?

This scant report is no guarantee that Miles will be back. I have reconciled with my Miles objections, although they were never that great. I hope he stays. He's shown that he is tough and tenacious. The program is in a very good position and I, for one, an already pumped about the next three years.

I say "KEEP MILES" if we can.

they're also standing by the point that miles finished 3rd in the west this year and refusing to acknowledge their two losses were to: 1) undefeated national champ contender and 2) BCS team. both on road.

it's like if the saints were in a division with the falcons and the patriots.

i guess its fun to make things look a certain way to benefit a losing argument.

I posted it because it's coming out of Ann Arbor where they don't view the situation through purple and gold colored glasses.

All the "I have not been contacted by Michigan" statements are getting annoying. Why doesn't anybody in the friggin media ask, "HAS YOUR AGENT BEEN CONTACTED BY MICHIGAN?"

There are two Michigan Reps waiting on Miles in BR at his Condo, right now, and Les is going to hear them out.
