Rich Rod had one good three year run at West Virginia. It was not proven success over time. Gundy has only had 4 ten win seasons at OSU, but they have been over time, continued success, not just one run. And he's done that despite being at a school where it's very difficult to recruit against OU and A&M and Texas and Arkansas and TCU and (for awhile) Baylor.

The guy just makes me cringe. That's it. He's annoying. It may not be a good reason not to hire a coach, but it's true. He seems very douchey. There are some others like him, but he's the douchey-ist. Dana Holgerson gives me the same vibe.

Rich Rod 2002-2007, he had WVU playing pretty damn well. He was also recruiting to West Virginia.
