Rich Rod had one good three year run at West Virginia. It was not proven success over time. Gundy has only had 4 ten win seasons at OSU, but they have been over time, continued success, not just one run. And he's done that despite being at a school where it's very difficult to recruit against OU and A&M and Texas and Arkansas and TCU and (for awhile) Baylor.

Far better than people like Orgeron that some are suggesting.

If O handles business rest of the season, it's gonna take a better pedigree than Gundy's to de-throne him.

That's just a fact.

The guy just makes me cringe. That's it. He's annoying. It may not be a good reason not to hire a coach, but it's true. He seems very douchey. There are some others like him, but he's the douchey-ist. Dana Holgerson gives me the same vibe.

Rich Rod 2002-2007, he had WVU playing pretty damn well. He was also recruiting to West Virginia.

2002-2007
9-4
8-5
8-4
11-1
11-2
10-2

Not a bad stretch at all for West VA
