Whether you think this is true or not (it sounds believable to me), there is a good lesson here. Lots of posters have talked about how someone would always go "home" if asked, others said you will always take the money. Reality is that career moves (even for a football coach) are a lot more complicated than that. When faced with a choice, a rational person will look at the whole package and decide which situation is the best one to be in at the time. I think that's what happened here.

Absolutely. There are other ways of dealing with that issue.

i think your theory has legs .. it's the most plausible one i've seen and makes sense ... someone in ann arbor with some stroke DID NOT want les ..
