I totally forgot about that Stanford championship Shaw won! Where’s he coaching now? NFL?
He went 3-9 his last two years. Great coach!

You keep moving the goalposts and cherry picking whatever record you want while skipping over multiple 9,10,12 win seasons 
no one expects a title at Stanford. That’s an absurd standard to set. Harbaugh didn’t win a title there either.
I never said there wasn’t a cliff. It just took 8-9 years to reach that cliff the idea that he coasted off of harbaughs players or his tenure there wasn’t undeniably successful for nearly a decade with him is just flat out factually wrong and ridiculous. They didn’t start falling apart until Harbaugh was going into his 3rd year at Michigan

I like how you just ignore that the PAC12 was historically weak for much of that period too. This last year was the first time the PAC12 was worth a damn in a long time.
Shaw was a mediocre coach from 2016 on…and 2015 and 2016 was mainly good due to Christian McCaffrey. He never won 10 games again after 2016. So with a generational player, he was able to maintain a program 5 years before dropping off a cliff. Great job. Look it up!

That’s a lot of talking to work around the facts of his records at Stanford those years completely disproving your original point.
Records the 3 seasons after the 5 seasons you mention as the cliff:
10-3
9-5
9-4
If you just take away and discredit every win he’s every had then you’re right man! You got me!

When has a player favorite coach ever worked out.Mike
Archer,Jerry Stovall, Larry Coker,etc.Being a head coach
is MUCH MORE than coaching on saturday.To run a major college FB program you need to be a smart CEO and know
every phase of the game.Roster decisions good asst.coach decisions day to day operations are a must. What good position
coaches will want to work for a 1st time HC who cant teach
them anything they dont know.I give him 4 years and he will
be gone.Mich is F`d they HAVE to give him more time than
a republican coach.Thats a fact.
