Miami basketball coach Jim Larranaga to step down

Less than two years after leading the University of Miami to its first Final Four in school history, coach Jim Larranaga is stepping down, multiple sources confirmed. An announcement is expected as early as this afternoon.
The Hurricanes dropped to 4-8 this season with an overtime loss to Mount St. Mary’s last week and have lost 18 of their past 22 games dating to last season. Miami ended the 2023 season with a 10-game losing skid and things were not getting much better with his overhauled 2024 roster, which included 10 new faces.
Larranaga, who turned 75 in October, has been coaching for 40 years and was under contract through the 2026-27 season.

I wonder if it's NIL and portal related, or if he just woke up and decided he didn't want to do it anymore.

Didn't he flat out say it was? I saw that he said somewhere that after his Final Four run when several key players transferred for money he knew it was over
