While you’re correct, there is a significant window of time in this whole process in which a contract COULD have been drawn up.
Also, there is often language in MoU that legally binds both parties to the forth coming contact.

Wouldn’t Riley signing anything void his OU contract? Also, wouldn’t the OU contract timeline kick in for buyout payment, etc?

Depends on the language. Typically the contract is in breach if he signs anything else and the buyout is due at that point. Once the buyout is paid, or a payment plan agreed, then the contact is void.

I didn’t say it was Rhule.
It would be extremely disappointing to me if it was any other college coach on the list.
