He and his family were in town last night and being given the grand tour of the stadium and new facilities. An announcement could come as soon as today.

Great hire, let’s hope this isn’t a smokescreen or chicken to feathers kind of thing.

Announcement is imminent. If not today, then after the Wisconsin game.

Would much rather see him at Nebraska than Auburn.

Great hire for the Huskers if true.

I was looking at a nebraska forum and this is legit.

Here is my source from that board:

This is like the third rumor in the last week 100% confirming that a certain candidate was getting the job

Wasn’t there someone on here last week saying it was Joseph

I don’t believe shite until it in writing

But what a dumb move by Rhule. I just cant believe he would go there. Nebraska refuses to acknowledge they are located in Nebraska.

Nebraska either needs an extremely great recruiter or an extremely great culture builder. Having both is near impossible. In Nebraska's situation, I'd take the culture builder as the long term solution and Rhule fits that perfectly. The western half of the Midwest is wide open right now with Iowa and Wisconsin faltering. Zero reason a solid hire shouldn't have Nebraska on top of that region within 2-3 years.

Honestly not sure if they could make a better hire than that. A+ if true.

I don’t think he’s going to Nebraska

Heard someone picking holes in Rhule and never knew he was 2-13 all time against ranked opponents and never recruited a top 300 player and hates recruiting

Is that something Nebraska needs?

They need to be honest with themselves and go the Kirk Ferentz/Iowa route.

I think Rhule is that, assuming he gets a super long leash to rebuild that program culture.

This would be an absolute HR for Nebraska. Very curious to see if he can build them to be at least respectable in the modern era

I truly think Iowa is their ceiling, maybe slightly higher.

8-9 wins a year, occasional 10 wins and flirting with top 12 playoff birth.

Even though most posters think any team outside of an undefeated top 3 (and even some of them) suck, I would consider that a respectable outcome for Nebraska.
