House reportedly turned down both the University of Tennessee and Auburn University to become their defensive coordinator following the 2020 season, and elected to remain in Kansas City for the 2021 season.

That was when he thought it was their other LB coach who's in his late 60s and has barely worked at the college level.

So, yeah, everyone was very meh about this guy being the hire.
