Ed Warinner is the mastermind behind KU's offense right now. Don't give MM too much credit. If you wanted to hire anyone associated with KU, go with Warinner. Since he's been the OC (2007), KU's offense has been breaking school records nonstop.

Warinner really isn't a bad coach. Plus he basically runs the style of offense LSU runs right now, so the athletes are there. With Ridley as the scat back with power to boast, Warinner's system is a perfect fit for LSU.

does he run the zone read? how's he with power football? I'm all for spreading it out, but sometimes you need to be able to line it up and run the rock. eat up some clock and give the D a blow, or just generally keep a high powered opponent's offense off the field.

He runs most of his power running game out of the pistol formation. One thing about it, he knows how to run the option. If Reesing was more of a threat running, they'd run zone read a lot more. The thing about Warinner is he can adapt to the game. He knows how to utilize the talent he has.

The thing about it is that Warinner isn't predictable like Crowton. You can't tell what's coming a lot of the time because he doesn't switch personnel so much or basically give the defense a cue as to what's coming by a certain formation.

This program needs discipline, and it's obvious he has no discipline at the buffet.

Mangino is a disgusting pig. It would offend me to be in his presence if such an event were to ever take place.

I posted this in a thread about Watson after the NU Texas game, but I think Beck would be a great fit at LSU

Watson is a great OC. He doesnt have the players for his system. If he was to get rid of Watson he has a replacement already on his staff there, Tim Beck. Beck was OC at SMS and they put up crazy numbers. As a HC in Texas High School he took a school never gone to playoffs and made them a winner and run in playoffs after 1 year. Same as he did in Tempe area. He also has been WR coach at KU when they won Orange Bowl.

I would like to see Beck run the LSU Offense.
