I have a gut feeling that Notre Dame will hire Luke Fickell and Marcus Freeman will go back to Cincinnati to take his place. Notre Dame can't afford to hire Freeman. They have been humiliated and now must make a splash hire and Fickell is it.

Freeman is a great coach.
Crazy that if he chooses BR O probably isn’t fired and Kelly stays in SB.

Nope. There is a 100% chance Freeman is the next ND coach due to the racial component. No matter how much they want Fickel it will be Freeman. And Freeman might be a great choice. I liked the guy when he was being courted by LSU.
If ND hires anyone but Freeman I hope Woodward and Kelly offer him an unofficial coach in waiting role. I would give him $2.5 million with escalation, and promise him the job in six years.

This has been repeated numerous times and makes no sense. Freeman has been the CIW and that’s been pretty known. I don’t think they were thinking it would happen so soon but you’re going to wait a month, miss out on signing day, all for the possibility snd gamble of Fickell going to SB? Smartest move is to name Freeman HC unless you get a guarantee with Fickell which i think is impossible right now.

there were people saying that Lsu was 100 percent going to hire Mel Tucker, because of the racial component. How'd that go?

Wtf are you talking about. I highly doubt they hire someone who has never been a HC. I'm sure you thought we were hiring Tucker too.
