Now, enter Texas. Clusterfricked, unruly, arrogant and a train wreck, but with unimaginable wealth and the desire to get "the best". Unfortunately for y'all, that's your guy.
I don't claim to know if he will stay or go. He seems loyal enough now, and he may even believe he is staying, but he's been known to move on before, given enough power and riches. I'm watching in amusement, and something close to repulsion, to see if Texas will try a full-on power play to get him, waving money and promises of departmental control over him like a liquor bottle over a known alcoholic. And we ain't talking cheap gin, either, we're talking some elite cognac they can bring.
I'm curious- can he stay on the wagon? Does he really want to? Even y'all have to wonder that, at least a little.

The only thing that has made sense is Mack making the banquet "about the seniors" which is respectable to retire after all that is done. Still everything else is kinda weird. Weirdest of all is Saban announcing his extension at 8pm on a Friday night just an hour after Mack met with Powers and Patterson. What does it mean? No fricking clue. Maybe nothing. Just doesn't make any sense.
