No one is an idiot. We don't yet know if a "below par, is among us. Time will tell. But just the hope of one emerging is enough to keep all of us checking this board all day long.
If a shite storm comes, and some heretofore random poster is calling all the shots, right before they happen, without a mistake, and you realize one of the principals is posting, it is beauty!??

according to another forum, a cessna from midland, tx which was owned by a texas alum was used to pick up steve patterson from arizona..

He's creating all of these issues surrounding his retirement. He hates the thought of Saban stepping in after him. Remember when he came to UT he embraced Royal as the greatest coach in UT history and will always give Royal that nod. He wants to have a legacy at UT and has been asked to stay and do the things that Royal did. He knows Saban won't embrace him in the same way and now he's conflicted about what to do. He now wants the buyout, hence these very public recruiting trips.
He and Saban are two years apart and Saban will never give anyone deference. Wether his happens or not Saban to UT was thought to be a done deal as early as a week ago. Saban's boys aren't talking anymore and the contract has been agreed to. Wether or not Brown's antics derail this deal remains to be seen.
I don't blame Brown a bit. Having Saban follow you would be like your dad re-marrying some chick you graduated high school with.

I just don't see how Mack's antics could derail anything. If Saban has accepted the job like they all believe, then it's as simple as firing Mack Brown is it not?
