Good point. That was dude's only post. Interesting angle on Mack not knowing initially that Saban was the target. If you're drinking the Kool-Aid, then the original leak of the Sexton "Nick will only leave for Texas" story would coincide with Terry's WSJ story to counter (intentionally as damage control?) AND the debt bailout.

If you're into that kind of thing.

So they would pay off all his debt and pass on him to protect Mack's feelings. Seems legit.

LHN Texas Longhorn Honors: Football 2013 6:30

Sure Mack will be smiling and having a great time tonight, it's all about the kids.

Riseup, you're just another gumptard. Can't you see that this was all a done deal and all the insiders on this forum and on shaggy were utterly right the entire time except then Mack was somehow, inexplicably able to derail the entire thing with "antics?"

This thread seems to take a turn for the worse in the evening. It was pretty amicable today until the last few pages.

I know the LHN is available on ESPN3, I wonder if anyone can watch the stream of the banquet.

I'm making a t-shirt that says, "I paid $40mm for the best coach in college football and all I got were these lousy antics ."

I'm thinking of charging $50k apiece for them because rich texans are apparently really bad with money.

I wasn't directing that at you, I just replied to the last post at the time.

And I should have pointed out that the flaming that has started up again is coming from all sides.

When Mack Brown first came to Texas he was an excellent recruiter and he was known for years as someone who would win a lot of games but couldn't win the big one. Then Apple white helped him get over that hump and of course Vince Young took him to his pinnacle. Then Colt helped carry the torch. But since 2009 for some reason he hasn't been able to recruit well at all and his biggest strength has become a glaring weakness and that is really why his job is in the air. The poor recruiting by letting Griffith get away and Manziel and that has equaled losses on the field.

Tl;dr

Mack used to be good at recruiting now he's not.

I'm patient, corn dog. I'm patiently waiting to see how you try to spin this when Saban stays at Alabama. I predict a Dale Denton level flameout.
