LSU will not hire an OC/DC to be HC

This BS Scott Frost and other OC/DC for HC at LSU needs to stop. LSU will not hire a coordinator to be HC. LSU has the ability to hire an established HC instead of a risk of taking a great coordinator who might not have what it takes to be a HC. A lot of coordinators fail when they get a chance to be a HC, and LSU is strong enough to not have to take a risk on that happening. They will take a guy with good HC experience. Stop the nonsense and stick to legitimate options

I think Spavital would be the perfect fit at LSU.

I would be ok with a good coordinator. To me the options are as follows:
1- Break the bank and go steal a coach (Like Arky did and we did with Saban in 1999)
2-Get an up and comer
3- Hire a good assistant
I think with the buyout #1 is not an option. #2 is ok but I think there is a risk there too. We thought Curley Hallman was going to save us in 1990. Turns out he was a straw man that was propelled into our job by Brett Favre. #3 Is risky but I think it can work well. Look at McElwain and what Charlie Strong did at Louisville.
Not buying or selling. I would be surprised if we went the coordinator route because it is usually looked at as a desperate move.

Honestly, and I may get shot for this. Kirby Smart has been holding out for this kind of opportunity. That or he's waiting on Saban to give it up.
