LSU of 2016 is not = LSU of the 1990's

Can we just get this off the table. Some of you are so scared of the past it's ridiculous. You've been saving the last pea on your plate for fear of another Great Depression.
We've significantly changed our football philosophy. Upgraded facilities, invested in academics and expanded the stadium. LSU now realizes the potential of football.
It doesn't mean we will get our #1 candidate but we are set up to compete with anyone. We are closer to Alabama and Texas than we are FSU and Tennessee. We started the craze of paying coaches insane amounts and investing in facilities. It was Sabans idea that changed LSU for the foreseeable future.

Yep, yet some still want to hire a failed retread. What happens when he doesn't have the best D/C in America and an offense nobody has any film on?
