We waited and folded on Saban.
We waited and got screwed with Miles.

If we are going all in or broke we need to have some intelligent mind figure out a way to make Aranda the eventual head coach, retain CEO, and bring in a brilliant mind at OC that we could retain for 4+ years.

The college football landscape is forever changing, but D travels and is key (the reason you keep Aranda and make him the constant)

Recruiting is the one of, if not the main, component of creating dynasties (the reason you retain Orgeron)

You need to score to win games (the reason you need a OC)

Please tell me a way this could all happen.

What do you mean when you say we folded on Saban?

Miami offered better than us, we didn't even try to counter. Granted we couldn't at the time but if we would have gone ridiculous with our offer (been proactive) we would be sitting pretty

I don't care about the down votes. Years from now you will get it

This is the smart direction for LSU.

Make Herman HC/OC, Aranda DC and AHC and pay him a frickload of money, and move o back to dline and recruiting coordinator for about a million a year.

Or do like Johnson/Weld 2016 and have no pres. And vice pres. They would be co-pres. Lol.

Now we are thinking out the box. If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got.

Louisiana is a sleeping giant and needs a little inspiration to get us back to tier 1

It wasn't the money.

Saban wanted to try the NFL. Nothing was going to stop him from going.

Why not just make Aranda HC now? Why wait and basically make Orgeron a pawn

If it wasn't about the money than why didn't he bolt for Texas when they were double? Should have stroked the ego, which we could do with Aranda and being the greatest defense mind, given our in state talent.

Is he ready for that? Is that what he wants?

These are the questions that needs to be asked. Then respond accordingly. Give the man what he wants

Why would Orgeron even stay if he knows he is just a placeholder until we think Aranda "is ready to be head coach".

I would imagine 99% of coaches would consider that a slap in the face and disrespectful.

Then make moves in the meantime. And make the powers that be have no choice. If he earns his keeps we will keep him.
