Ed O

After all the clamoring, after all the Jimbo Fisher ordered Crawfish to be shipped to his home, he's a lock talk. After the Tom Hermann is rumored to love Mardi Gras, he has to come to LSU chatter.

Ed O will be the new coach, because there is no one else for you.

That also all starts this weekend, when Ed O leads the tigers to continue their tradition of success and maintains that strong legacy of having never beaten Missouri in the timeless ritual of, not beating Missouri.

You morons obviously don't realize that IF Coach O were to become the head coach, that would mean LSU wrecks shite the rest of this year.

If he goes 7-1, he probably has the job (and he should). And that means he would beat all but one of OM, Arky, Florida, A&M, Missouri, Bama... Any less and it's an outside hire.

It's a win-win for LSU. Either LSU kicks arse, or LSU gets a new coach. This is tRant though, wouldn't want to ruin a good troll with common sense

(And to the OM fans, he coached at your shite hole 10 years ago... 10 years ago Les Miles was considered an elite coach, things change. Not to mention your program was the biggest crap shoot in the SEC)

I think LSU is going to lose this weekend too.
I remember pretty vividly what happened to Arkansas's "National Championship Contender" team in 2012 when we hired an interim. The team mailed it in. I would be surprised if this doesn't happen to LSU as well. Miles was a player's coach. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of heartbroken and pissed off Tiger football players right now, and when Missouri comes out and punches them in the mouth, their hearts won't be in it.

Not trying to troll here. Just saying that I picked Missouri to win this game.

ETA and troll LSU...I'm bumping a post I made last week.
"LSU's problem here is that Auburn is going to throw everything including the kitchen sink at them. Auburn is DESPERATE for a home win, having lost the last SIX SEC home games in a row. At some point something has gotta break. These coaches are literally coaching for their jobs this weekend, and Auburn is at home. I normally would give the edge to LSU anyways, but I have almost no respect for their football program, their fans, their coaches, their state, etc.

Auburn wins."

Their next coach is the hybrid of Charlie Strong and Dennis Franchione.

John L. Smith

What happened the last time O was an interim HC?

This right here. LSU and Arkansas are practically the same athletic program and John L. Smith is comparable to Ed Orgeron.

LSU is a traditionally mediocre program and if it weren't for Nick Saban, would still be mediocre in every measurable way.

There's one SIGNIFICANT counter to that argument.

The State of Louisiana has the most NFL talent, per capita, in the country.

LSU is the only major program in that state.

LSU should be able to just put their helmet on the table without a coach and fill up half their class with Louisiana blue-chips.
